NORFOLK, VA, December 27, 2011 /Lifestyle PR News/ -- Veronica Delaney, Director of Catering for Hilton Norfolk Airport, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in hospitality services.
Ms. Delaney is responsible for overseeing all banquet spaces, booking social events, meetings and conferences, and giving site tours to potential clients at the airport hotel. She oversees the details of all of the events, and conducts meetings with other departments concerning events and implementation. She has become recognized by her peers for her great passion for helping people to create successful meetings and memorable social events.
Ms. Delaney, who holds an associate degree in early childhood education, became involved in her profession several years ago, starting as a catering secretary and working her way up. She is now the incoming vice president of programs and education for the International Special Events Society. In the near future, Ms. Delaney looks forward to possibly working in a larger hotel and performing the same tasks as a director of convention services.
