Delauter, CGMP, Special Assistant to the Deputy Director for Libraries at the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the administration of federal government services for libraries.
In his capacity at the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Mr. Delauter assists the deputy director in her administrative tasks. He is also responsible for handling telephone and communications work, which entails answering letters and emails. He coordinates travel arrangements and conference registration for IMLS staff and invitational travelers, plans meetings and conferences, and acts as the primary representative of the Institute by staffing the exhibit booth at conferences. He attributes his success to his ability to plan ahead, attend to details, and multitask.
Mr. Delauter received a bachelor's degree in English and fine arts from Loyola University Maryland. He is a certified government meeting professional and a member of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals. In years to come, Mr. Delauter would like to transition into working full-time on meeting logistics and planning, as he loves working on the logistics end of things.
