Long Island's Sugar Dining Den & Social Club Gives Your Senses a Rush
Business Leader and Entrepreneur Randy Narod Teams Up with 'Mr. Night Life', Brian Rosenberg, to Create a Chic Dining and Dancing Venue
Carle Place, NY, September 7, 2010 /Lifestyle PR News/ -- Since opening its doors earlier this year, Sugar Dining Den and Social Club has proven itself to be a winning combination with Long Islanders who are looking for a New York City-caliber nightspot without the commute. The club's casually elegant atmosphere, along with its globally influenced cuisine, has garnered glowing reviews from foodies and club-goers alike.
New York City is one of the world's most revered nightlife destinations, with the widest assortment of clubs, lounges and restaurants at one's disposal. Noting that Long Island, with the exception of the Hamptons, lacked any immersive dining and dancing experiences, entrepreneur Randy Narod saw great potential to bring a unique "wow" factor to southeastern New York in Sugar Dining Den & Social Club.
Randy Narod is a business leader and entrepreneur who stands at the forefront of Long Island business. He owns and operates 10 companies. Since his early 20s, Randy Narod has displayed an extraordinary sense of focus and dedication in his business endeavors. He has also been prudent in surrounding himself with like-minded professionals who are adept in their respective industries. Most recently, Randy has teamed up with Donald Trump Jr. As a high-level director within the organization, Donald Trump Jr. will accompany Cambridge Who's Who in achieving new heights of success. Randy co-owns the Long Island Bagel Cafe enterprise, which includes six locations in Bellmore, Glen Cove, Long Beach, Oceanside, Merrick and Nesconset; Da Vinci's Village Pizzeria, located in Island Park; and Butera's, an Italian restaurant located in Seaford. Sugar is his latest venture.
The chic and sophisticated hotspot, Sugar, is the brainchild of Randy Narod's business partner, and hospitality marketing expert, Brian Rosenberg. The leisure and entertainment guru previously served as executive director of sales and marketing at The Garden City Hotel for 18 years before approaching Len Oliva and Joe DiGirolomo -- owners of the Ciao Baby restaurant group -- with the idea of overhauling their Carle Place location and transforming it into a food and music wonderland.
As he is fascinated with new challenges, Randy Narod became intrigued when Brian Rosenberg presented the idea for Sugar -- he immediately got on board. With a 6,000-square-foot room to play with, extensive construction commenced. To complete the renovation that would transform this sprawling space into a unique nightlife milieu, the Sugar partners spared no expense, and recruited Steve Lewis and Marc Dizon, the team behind NYC hotspots such as Marquee, Butter and Aspen Social, to oversee its design.
As extravagant as it is large, Sugar combines high style with luxury. The room retains its original domed ceiling, and features candy-splashed murals by world-famous artist Fernanda Cohen and a hologram birch tree forest. Executive Chef Hok Chin (formerly of Bobby Vans Steakhouse and the Essex House Hotel's Alain Ducasse Restaurant) was recruited to create a menu that boasts distinct foods from around the globe. Guests share plates to experience distinct international flavors with each bite. Topping it off, respected DJs from the Tri-State area provide sweet sounds for Sugar's guests. "Five days a week, there is a full restaurant and two or three nights a week, we have nightlife," Randy explains -- a true formula to attract any tried-and-true pleasure seeker.
The grand opening for this swank resto lounge took place April 28 through May 1, 2010, with close to 200 friends and family invited for dinner, drinks, dancing, and people-watching. Further ensuring Sugar's success, guests provided honest and constructive criticism, which the management took under serious consideration. The feedback was unanimous: the decor, staff professionalism and food are second to none. News 12 Long Island popped in for a birds-eye-view of the joint, while Newsday has featured Sugar on two separate occasions. Erica Marcus, a writer for Newsday, sampled Chef Chin's menu and stated, " ... the dishes I sampled were tasteful, imaginative and surprisingly restrained." With all the splendid pieces to the puzzle in place, Sugar Dining Den & Social Club is destined to leave an indelible impression on Long Islanders looking for the finest in table service entertainment.
